I was hoping that things would have changed but they have not. The last butcher on town has closed and what do we get from the Bray Boy... “Sadly the impact of the current economic climate is being felt on high streets up and down the country. I regret the loss of the last butcher’s shop in town and I sympathise with anyone who has lost their job. I hope a new one will come along soon. “Hinckley has much to offer retailers and shoppers with its thriving market and a whole range of national and independent shops and I urge people to support the town’s traders and shop locally. “ What is he on? The market has gone into decline, only 1/2 the size it was 10 years ago. Then its the Bus station renewal, the last company went tit$ up, I tell you this will never happen. You have more chance of a County Cllr being caught with a copy of England RWC final DVD stuck in his CC laptop... Did I say that, was it not covered up and had it not been for a leak to the local media we would have been kept in the dark.. Mind you, you can always try and have a chat with your local Tory Cllr, just take a bus into Leicester.. Back to the DVD,,, "She Likes It Rough", that must tell you something about our elected officials... And then they POSE...

As always ShiftZZ, very succinct! Our very own Rural on eBay? Do they do mucky films on there? I admire the man's honesty on this subject, let's hope we can start to look forward to ALL our local councillors telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth from now on, from the beginning and not when the are found out.

A welcome return to form Shiftzz. I dread to think what we would have made of this at the peak of The Flame ;D.
For the record i did think that whilst it was naive to use the work computer the reaction and resulting public humiliation was over the top and probably rebounded on those attempting to make such a big thing of it (No pun intended)

Carvo
There was a question if the DVD could have been bought in the UK..
The worrying thing was that the County Council 'covered' it up, I bet a lowly clerical grade would have been sacked..
If thats the same or still a council laptop, then is using CC property for Ebay a legit use?

I bet the silly so and so's vote him back in come the election! Another year and still the same old dinosaurs in charge and knowing what's best for the masses whilst they indulge themselves.
Mind, old Rural HAS been rather quite of late. Cannot be too long before he replies in his normal manner, I await with baited breath.

Not surprissed you picked up this shiftzz the photo is from 2008 when Telegraph ran a story on using online sale websites so was not related to the adult movie in 2007 (Press Complaints me thinks). Dan I was honest in my reply to the Mercury which has got me the sack as my fellow councillors thought that was wrong and caused embarassment.
So back on the backbenches for the foreseeable future but still looking after the patch, problem is must keep mouth shut as the powers that be don't like it.
